Self storage for a business in Poland: check the daily workflow first
A storage room can hold stock, equipment or business records, but that does not make it a staffed warehouse. Before renting in Poland, map a normal working week. Deliveries, staff visits and order collection need arrangements that a basic room rental may not include.

Describe the goods and how they move
Tell the operator what you intend to store, how it is packaged and how often it will arrive. Mention pallets, heavy equipment and goods with particular temperature requirements. Confirm the written rules for those items. A room suitable for boxed household belongings may not be suitable for every commercial product, and a large floor area does not establish a permissible floor load.
Agree delivery arrangements explicitly
Ask whether the operator accepts deliveries, who signs for them and where goods wait before reaching your room. Check whether this service costs extra and whether it is available at your chosen location. If deliveries are your responsibility, coordinate driver access and staff attendance. Give couriers the actual unloading instructions instead of assuming that a reception desk will handle everything.
Control staff access
List the people who need to enter and ask how individual permissions are added or removed. Keep a record of keys and access devices. Agree an internal process for checking goods in and out so that a shared room does not become an untracked stockpile. Someone leaving the company should trigger an access review, not just a request to return a physical key.
Plan the working space realistically
Leave enough room to identify and retrieve stock safely. Ask whether shelving is permitted and check load limits before installation. Do not assume that renting storage authorises on-site retail, manufacturing, regular office work or registering a business address there. Describe any activity beyond storing goods and obtain explicit confirmation that the premises and agreement allow it.
Check costs, records and flexibility
Request a quote in the company's correct billing details, with VAT and additional services shown clearly. Review insurance for business stock and any requirements for storing confidential records. Ask about larger rooms, seasonal changes and ending the agreement. Compare the total operational cost, including staff travel and delivery handling, rather than choosing solely by the lowest advertised rent.
